Jumpstart Free Health Clinic is a health outreach program of the Southwest chapter of Adventist Laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) . Its mission is to deliver completely free health services through mobile multi-specialty clinics to residents of cities within the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
ASI is comprised of Seventh-day Adventist business owners, professionals, and supporting ministries who support the church through various outreach programs, including health, education, evangelism, community services, family concerns, and special projects.
As an organization, ASI is committed to equipping the laity for effective ministry in various capacities. As a denomination, Seventh-day Adventists have a demonstrated commitment to health and wholeness with an understanding that love for Jesus compels us to love and help others.
Jumpstart Free Health Clinic seeks to embody these two guiding principles by actively engaging in relieving suffering, renewing hope, and sharing Christ’s love through the coordination of health clinics that minister to individuals in need.
We believe that when church members come together for ministry not only do they impact the lives of the communities that they serve, but the members themselves become revived and changed into stronger and better missionaries for Christ.
Jumpstart strives to empower others to connect with the people in their communities and ultimately share the love and hope that they have received through a relationship with Jesus.
"It was His mission to bring to men complete restoration; He came to give them health and peace and perfection of character" (The Ministry of Healing, p. 17).
